Point and Shoot cameras are everywhere. Even professional photographers have them. They easily slip into a pocket and take great images. These "pocket cameras" are with us every day and while very powerful, do have some challenges to taking great photos. Share your secrets to getting the most out of your point and shoot camera. What is Your P&S Secret?

P S Secret

Most P&S don't do well in dim light because of the sensor size. Use an external flash indoors and the lowest ISO setting in well lit outdoor images to reduce noise.

Framing

To see how different the view from the viewfinder and/or lcd screen is to the actual picture recorded - take a shot of something rectangular, with set lines - ie. a picture in a frame, a window, a house. Frame the picture so that it fills the whole space - and then up load the picture(s) and compare what was cut off - or was there extra, unwanted stuff in one or both of the pictures.
