Stone Mountain Park , Grill Mist . Stone Mountain, Ga , just off 78 US Highway . From Atlanta take Hyw 78 East , you will see the Park entrance on your right .

Granite Rock over 300 millions years old , wildlife, birds ,deers , Falcons , flowers , lake scenery , , Grill Mist ,personally I have at least 70 pictures of it , trying to get some new when i walk around that place . Also the mansion of the previous owners with a slaves quarters, very interesting history . A train take you around the Rock , the train is the legacy of the original railroads who transported granite from the Quarry , Do not forget the Laser show in the summertime .
Advice
- The Park Police is very active , WATCH YOUR SPEED AT ALL TIME !! , lots of water around the Big Rock , Day time is very good with sunshine to get pictures , At Christmas time , nightime decorations will be a plus to get photos . ,five miles walk around the Rock, or a nice climb to the top on a trail that is maintained year around . The tramway take you to the top if you chose . Hazards ? not that I am aware of . Like every other place , you must be aware of your location and suroundings .
