What Was Your Special/First Camera?
Kodak Holiday Brownie
Tell Us the Story of Your Camera
My first camera was a Kodak Holiday Brownie that my grandfather bought for me in 1955. I took photos of everything imaginable, and I still have many of the photos and negatives today. A few of the photos have even been published. I have owned many cameras since then including Mamiya, Pentax, Minolta, Kowa, and my current Canon EOS system, but the little Kodak Brownie is still special because with it my grandfather gave me a special gift, a passion for photography. I still own the camera and it sets on a shelf here in my office.
