I just recently saw a SMART car for the first time driving down the road and new immediately that that was going be the car I wanted a picture of. I did a U-Turn in the middle of the road and chased it for miles only to wind up losing it in the traffic. After some research I found only one dealership in middle Tenn that sold this car and I paid a visit to the lot at which this picture was taken. I can't get over how small this car is. I added the hand to emphasize the small size and tried to blurr the surroundings so that the small size was evident. However I left some detail in the background so that you would know that it was indeed a real car. I hope Santa puts one in my stocking for Christmas!
Advice
- Try to choose a subject that you don't have to chase down an interstate to capture
- I was trying to use my own hand as a reference point but wound up using a friends instead - It's too difficult to take a picture of your own hand without blurring the picture too much.
- I had to kneel down in a very hot parking lot with shorts on so maybe taking knee pads like gardeners wear would have been very piratical in this case.
