Photo Description
This is a relatively new park located in the beaches area of Toronto. I was standing on a bit of a hill facing south towards Lake Ontario when this little kid road into my shot with his bike. I think he really made the shot. His mother and another kid road into one of the other shots I took, but in the end it was the shot with the lone kid that I decided worked best.
Advice
- The more you shoot the more likely you'll catch a keeper.
- Think about shooting in shutter priority if you want to freeze the action.
- Try to shoot at least once or twice a week, even if it's only a handful of shots.
- If a shot doesn't work out, try to figure out why and what you can do better to improve it next time.
- Buy photography books and read them.
- For me, when I got my new DSLR I promised myself I would not shoot in any of the auto modes -- only the creative modes. So far I've stuck to it and have learned a lot about the relationship between aperture, shutter speed and ISO.
