ENTRY 2 - Are YOU looking at ME?

Is a model release on file for all recognizable people?

Not necessary

What day was the photo taken?

Photo Description

This spot above the entrance to the underground subway has been a favourite haunt for the pigeons for as long as I can remember. It's located on Queen St. W., right out front of Toronto's City Hall and about 100 feet east of the first photo I posted.

The second bird is whispering to the first bird, "What's with the guy and that little boxy thing he's pointing at us?" The first bird replies, "Not sure, but let's hang loose in case it turns out to be food."

Advice

  • Take your time and consider the various ways to shoot a subject before clicking the shutter.
  • Be patient, don't just snap the instant you see something. In this case I took maybe a half dozen shots before I caught the birds looking at my camera just right.
  • Shoot in colour and convert later. Why limit yourself to one option by setting your camera to b & w.
