When and where was the photo taken?
March 2009 Ft. Myers Beach, Florida.
Photo Description
It was a cold day at the beach, for March in Florida, The temperature was around 30 degrees F.
The atmosphere had three distinct layers at the horizon. As the sun set it was, for a moment, behind all three layers at the same time, dividing it in thirds, each part with a distinct color. I bumped up the red in the camera just a bit but the photo is very much what we saw that day.
The trees in the background are in Cape Coral, Fl.
March in Florida is a little different from the same month in Michigan, but it needs to be displayed.
Advice
- If the day is very clear, as it was here, bumping up the red in your DSLR can add beauty and increase contrast.
- I can't tell you how to find a tricolor sun. I have never seen that before or since.
