Photo Description
The photo is of the Twin Bridges (I-74) linking Moline, IL to Bettendorf, IA. It was taken late in the afternoon on a rare calm December day which provided a nice reflection of the Rock Island Arsenal on the Mississippi River. Standing on the Iowa bank, I was forced to shoot towards the southwest creating a strong silhouette of the spans.
I used a Canon 7D body with a Tamron 18-270 mm lens. I had only owned the equipment for about a month and was actually just getting to know the camera!
Advice
- Always take your camera with you and shoot several shots of the subject.
