Entry 1: Trying To Beat the Big Storm: Christmas shoppers, including us, rushed out trying to beat the coming big snow/ice storm that was predicted to start that afternoon. This picture is taken from our car waiting in line with others to get into a shopping center. The storm started earlier than predicted and became very heavy here as seen in this picture, with large wet flakes and ice mixed in. It was very cold and damp and to me this picture depicts that with the steamed up windshields, ice and snow accumulating on the cars as well as seeing the flakes falling. 1/250, f2.8 ISO 200
Advice
- Have your camera with you at all times when you can especially if you know of an event you might run into. Prepare it for weather, extra batteries and in a bag to protect it. I set a higher shutter speed for shooting between windshield wipers.
