"Bell Tower on a December Night"
This photo depicts the festive architectural lighting of a Spanish style Bell Tower in my community. I wanted to capture the contrast between the brightly lit foreground scene to the dark mountain and night sky background. The photo was taken just after 5 PM PST.
Advice
- Use self timer shutter release and tripod to avoid shake for the 4 second exposute.
- Use manual focus to infinity to avoid auto-focus confusion at night
- ISO 100 for sharpness
- f/8 focal length to increase the depth of field and keep the scene in focus
- Position bell tower at upper right thirds intersection
