Photo Description
Sun burning through the mid-morning fog pierced by the late Autumn leafless tree branches. Grey sky will soon give way to the brilliant blue of late fall. This photo was taken along the bank of Penn's Creek in Central Pennsylvania. it is a favorite location of mine as it is close by and always full of surprises. I have broken my telephoto lens by falling on its bank in search of that dragonfly photo and have followed the Great Blue Heron as it coasts 20 feet ahead at a hop. The Canadian geese also find this a benign location to rest on their way north and there are always mallard ducks for amusement.
