Is a model release on file for all recognizable people?

N/A

When was the photo taken?

October 29th in the evening.

Photo Description

Old shipyard where old cranes are still in place.

In this night capture moon gives mystical lightning and atmosphere to this almost dark woods and scenery.

The rule of thirds works on this one are the crane point to the empty area and to the moon. The sky is really blue and you can even see the stars.

I had quite a struggle to get these ones as camera's image processing made most of pictures either too dark or too red. I took also RAW images and in those you could see the sky (with noise due 30 second of exposure) but then the jpeg looked totally different.

I actually took one shot with Auto mode on previous Monday and it showed this sky to me and I had to study the settings on that one to capture these ones:-)

Tips and Tricks

  • take RAW pictures also if you want to manipulate image yourself, camera's image processing don't always succeed
  • exposure time, aperture and ISO plays big role in night photography
  • and some times you need luck to be inspired
