Photo Description

I wanted the main subject of my image to be the white wrought iron chairs under the tree. I wanted to convey that this would be a solitary place to just sit and relax or read a book. I like both the centered and rule of third images, but would choose the rule of thirds image. It sets the chairs on the intersection of the lower right third lines. With the centered image, the viewer may not know whether the center of attention was the tree or the chair.

The photo was taken at a residence on Main Street in my town of Willard, OH.

Tips and Tricks

  • If the chairs weren't there, a centered image might be better. Also I would have shot it in a vertical format.
