Photo Description
My wife and I decided to visit a local state park a few miles from our home. When we got to the parking an oriental gentleman had a dozen or more kites of all different shapes and sizes in the air. This was one of our favorites.
I like the way it bisects the frame on a diagonal. And how all the colors contrast so well with the blue sky. This kite was about 20 feet long.
Note that other than removing some dust spots and brightening 1 stop this photo has been neither cropped or color balanced in any way. I'm sort of proud of this one.
Tips and Tricks
- I preset the color balance using a "Balens" lens cover. Because it was so bright my f-stop was f25 and shutter speed 1/500. I had forgotten I had set my ISO to 800 for some earlier photos!
- Nikon D60
- Focal length 105mm
