Entry 1 - Frazier is the yellow tabby. He is about 17 years of age and has spent most of his life surviving on his own at a campground. Tutu is mostly Siamese. She is going on 6 years of age. Her mother was a feral cat and had many litters. Tutu was out of the mother's last litter and looks like her mother. Frazier use to help watch over the kittens even when he was not the father. After my husband died, Frazier started coming into the trailer at the campground. He has become adapted to enjoying being inside for periods of time, especially when the weather is unpleasant. Cats do sleep a lot and many times they curl up together. I just happen to catch them napping. I was lucky that they kept sleeping when I took their photo. Cats are great pets and are enjoyable to watch.
Lessons Learned
- I always try to fill the frame with main subject. In this case I wanted a close-up of their faces as they slept. I always keep a soft, white fabric on the bed for them which made a nice and clean background.
- Since I was using my Canon G10, I used the macro feature to aid in capturing their faces.
