This image emphasizes the water by placing it in the front of the frame and uses the river as a leading line to draw the viewer's eyes down the river. The rock in the foregrounds helps to intensify the leading line by "pointing" down the river. The mountains and sky work with the river to divide the image into three horizontal planes as well.
