This is a great example of a found situation and juxtaposition. Because shoes don't normally fly, their location hanging from a wire high overhead is instantly interesting. By choosing a vertical composition and positioning the shoes on a rule of thirds line, the shoes maintain their position as main focal point of the image very well. Also, the slight angle of the wire helps to keep the composition interesting and deliberate.
