Black birds are a symbol traditionally associated with death and Halloween. These vultures in near silhouette looking down on the photographer certainly create a creepy atmosphere. The slight sepia tone gives the image a further creepy feel in this situation. The composition is strong with the main group of birds on the left leading to the birds on the right with a few stragglers and tree branches forming leading lines to guide the eye.
