This image uses the natural shape of the flower to add interest to a macro image. The lines of the stamen and petals help to draw the viewer's eye inward to the "cave" the upper petals make and suggest that there is still farther to go if we could only peek over the central petal. Illusions such as this help a photographer to hold a viewer's attention on an image longer than images where the eye is led out of the image.
