This image beautifully uses the rule of thirds subject placement in addition to action markers (swept-back ears and rope, mid-stride subject) to convey a great sense of motion. Because the dog is turning sharply, the placement of the dog in the lower left corner actually enhances the motion instead of stopping it by giving the dog a visual point to turn away from and back into the image.
