This image conveys motion/action through a frozen frame because it is obvious this would not happen without motion. The uplifted hair and pant legs add to the fact that the child is suspended in mid-air to tell the viewer that this occurred for a brief moment during action. The only real drawback to the image is that (as so often happens with action shots) part of the subject is out of the frame.
