Large and bright orange moons are another sight more common in summer. Sometimes called harvest moons, this type of moon is generally seen just after moonrise towards the hottest part of the summer. Here the moon is offset to the side of the image to create interest for the viewer. Placing it near the top of the frame also cements the idea that it is a rising moon.
