Play Rugby USA
Mission:
Play Rugby USA is dedicated to "developing youth through rugby" by delivering a unique sports education experience to America‚s excluded urban youth. Through the delivery of innovative rugby, fitness, community and academic-themed programs we engage otherwise excluded urban boys and girls in fun activities, sparking transformational change in their communities. As a result, we increase participation in positive physical activity after-school which decreases risks of obesity and at-risk behavior. More than 9,000 young people and 600 teachers from over 120 after-school sites throughout New York City have already participated in the program, with overwhelmingly positive feedback.
