Submitting Photos

Submit Your Photos Want to share your images with others here at Photography.About.com? Need help troubleshooting a specific problem with your images? Here's how to submit your photos for possible use.

The details:

• The image must not be pornographic or otherwise unsuitable for underage viewers.
  
• Photos must be 72dpi and no bigger than 640 by 480 pixels.
  
• You must be the photographer of the image and you must have permission of any people in the image to publish the image. By submitting the image you are attesting to the image being your work, that you have any needed photo releases, and that you have all copyrights to it.
  
• If there is a person who can be recognized by the image in the photograph you must submit a text copy of your on-file model release to photography.guide@about.com. Sample Release
  
• Any image you submit is the property of the photographer. However, by submitting your image, you are agreeing to allow your guide to post the image on this site and allowing About.com some rights to you image. PLEASE read the About.com User Agreement and make sure you understand it before submitting any images. Section 4 deals specifically with user submitted images.
  

To submit your image:

• All submissions are handled through the forum.
  
• For Assignments, simply upload or embed your image in the current assignment thread.
  
• Other submissions will have instructions posted with the call for submissions.
  

Submitting an image does not guarantee that it will be used but I will use as many images as possible. Thank you for being a part of the About.com Photography site!
