How to Create a Spot Color Digital Image

Once you have opened your photograph, use the magic wand tool (or your other favorite selection tool), to select the area you wish to spot color. This may take some fine tuning if your image is not high contrast. Take your time and you will get the image selected.

Hint When using the magic wand tool uncheck the "contiguous" box to allow the tool to select all of a specific color in an image instead of just the the areas touching each other. If you have a small area of a common color that you want to select, insure the "contiguous" box is selected.
