How to Create a Spot Color Digital Image

Introduction

Along with hand-tinting and sepia toning, spot color images are a wonderful way to bring a sense of nostalgia to your images. They are also great for expressing your creative side with your images. A very simple way to create a spot color image is to use a digital image file and a photo editing program, such as Adobe® Photoshop Elements®. For this tutorial I am using Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0. However, the basic process will be the same, or very similar, in most programs.
