Guide Review - Review of PearlyWhites Plug-In for Photoshop by ImageTrends
PearlyWhites is a Photoshop plug-in product from ImageTrends. This product will also work with Photoshop Elements. PearlyWhites loads as a filter action and is easy to access. Once you have opened the image you wish to work with, simply open the PearlyWhites filter. Once the PearlyWhites filter is opened there is a preview image and a slider control to adjust the amount of whitening applied to the teeth.
The main issue with this plug-in is that the whitening gets applied to areas other than the teeth if a perfect selection around the teeth is not made. As you can see in the before and after image, the tooth color is excellent but the area around the mouth has been considerably lightened as well. These additional areas of whitening are usually not glaring white but they can affect the overall image quality.
