Curvemeister 3 takes away many of the frustrations of working in Adobe Photoshop and Photoshop Elements. The real time, full size previews of adjustments as you make them (without waiting several minutes for new previews to generate) make minute adjustments of color, tone, and contrast much more accessible and less of a chore. The instant feedback of seeing the changes in your images as you make them returns image development to an art instead of a guessing game.
Real Skintones and Colors
Its probably fair to say that if you have ever worked with a digital program you have experienced he frustration of blue skin (or orange skin, or red skin, or green skin for that matter). Cameras use one set of standards for white balance, programs use another, and printers use yet another. This leaves the photographer wondering if maybe the world really is full of blue-skinned people and his/her eyes have just been wrong all these years. Curvemeister 3 uses a pushpin system to reveal beautifully true-to-life skintones. Select a pushpin closest to the tone you want and drag it to the point on the subject that should be that color. From there you can further refine the skintone by adding additional pins of other shades to the subject. This creates a much truer skintone palette than filters which just apply one color adjustment to the entire image. Pins are also available for various colors in nature for quick adjustments to trees, water, and skies.

Curvemeister 3 is a very powerful tool for correcting color and contrast of images. it does rely on what you see so your monitor must be calibrated to match your output choice. Users without a background in curves and colorspace may find the learning curve a bit steep for this program but Curvemeister offers excellent tutorials (Curvemeister tutorials) to guide new users through their first adjustments.
