Our learning assignment for February was "action". Photography is a static medium, it doesn't move. The world we live in, however, moves constantly. Because of this, conveying a sense of motion can sometimes present quite a challenge for photographers. Action photography is about taking an recorded image of a moving subject and using that recorded image to show a viewer the motion that took place. Whether you use blur to freeze a subject in mid-motion, there is a lot to consider when deciding how you convey motion in a static medium.
