While we don't normally spend a lot of time looking up at flowers, it is a common perspective change in photography. This image adds a nice twist to that by having the strong open flower in the foreground facing a different way than the taller background flowers. This foreground flower helps to put us within the flower field by giving us two different depths. The strong use of the rule of thirds helps to keep the taller flowers as our secondary focus as well instead of letting the eye travel aimlessly around the frame.
