Color helps to add a lot of punch to this image. The silhouette trees nicely frame the clouds. There are enough clouds to keep them as the subject of the image rather than just the color contrast. The weight of the cloud lines helps to add a sense of depth to the image with the heaviest line at the top and the lines becoming thinner as they move down in the frame (further into the distance).
