Photography Assignment #50 - Action

Photography is a static medium, it doesn't move. The world we live in, however, moves constantly. Because of this, conveying a sense of motion can sometimes present quite a challenge for photographers. Action photography is about taking an recorded image of a moving subject and using that recorded image to show a viewer the motion that took place. So our learning assignment for July is Action Photography. Whether you use blur to freeze a subject in mid-motion, there is a lot to consider when deciding how you convey motion in a static medium. Take a moment to read our Action Photography lesson and then get shooting!

Each person will be limited to two entries for this assignment. I will copy the entries into an entry image gallery within 2 days of the entries being posted.

Things to Remember
Read over the complete rules for details on posting your entries, image size requirements, and helpful hints. Entries MUST comply with those rules to be valid.

The deadline for this contest will be at 10PM Eastern time on July 15th.

Images must be taken during the contest period (July 1 - July 15).

Assignment winners will be announced July 20th.

Entries must be clearly marked as "Entry 1" or "Entry 2". Entrants are limited to ONE change of entry. If an entry must be changed you must edit your original post to say "retracted entry" and the new entry post MUST state that it is a replacement entry.
