Its not often that I get excited about a new photography product. FlashBenders are an exception. When the company contacted me to ask if I would review them they actually looked like a great idea. Still, there are a lot of products out there that look like great ideas but do not function properly. FlashBenders only took about 5 minutes to change my mind when the product arrived. Compact, lightweight, versatile, and works as promised.
So what do they do? They attach to your add-on flash (with Velcro) and work as bendable reflectors. Because of the variety of sizes available this means that you get an amazing amount of control from your flash that just wasn't there before. Except for the very smallest size, they even bend into snoots. For creative lighting (and even just trying to diffuse flash to avoid shadows) the FlashBenders are truly a product that you are not going to want to go without.
