Winner and Finalists of Assignment 37 - Macro

Friday December 5, 2008
Macro photography means to record a subject at life size on the negative or sensor. That means that the image on the negative is the same size as the subject in real life. In common usage, however, macro photography simply means an extreme close up image.

Our macro assignment had our photographers looking for anything that might be ready for a close-up, a VERY close-up. From water to bugs to straws, our photographers showed us the smaller side of the world.

The winner for Photography Assignment 37 - Marcro is Melissa Marshall!

When you are done reviewing the winner and finalist images, be sure to spend some time enjoying the other entries and additional critiques in the forum entry thread.

Please feel free to add your own images in the forum as well. We have a lot of amazing people as members in our forum and we would love for you to join us! Also, have an ongoing photo of the week competition with winners pulled from the photo sharing area.
