Sue Chastain, our About.com Guide to Graphics Software, uncovered some great information on the Canon Hacker's Development Kit (CHDK) that can drastically increase the capabilities of your Powershot camera. Now, this is not a malicious thing like we often think of when we say hacker. This software makes no permanent changes to your camera and is safe to use. These "hacks" have been around a long time but are still gaining in popularity. Some features you can unlock with the CHDK are aperture and shutter settings, RAW support, and histograms.
