New Details in Photographer Kidnapping

Wednesday August 27, 2008
The story of kidnapped photographers Nigel Brennan, Abdifatah Mohammed Elmi, and Amanda Landhout continues to be a puzzle with little concrete information. However, according to Reporters Without Borders, the National Union of Somali Journalists has received information that an unnamed militia group is holding them for an unnamed purpose. In a story with so few facts, all we can do is take a glimmer of hope in the word "holding" as it implies that these three people are still alive.

KEEP POSTING ON THIS, LIZ!!! IT IS VERY SCARY BEING A PHOTOGRAPHER IN WAR ZONES OR TOTALLY LAWLESS AREAS. THESE BRAVE PHOTOGRAPHERS NEED OUR PRAYERS AND OUR PRESSURE FROM EVERY CORNER OF THE WORLD TO MAKE SURE THEY RETURN ALIVE!! HANK ALLISON, NASHVILLE, TN

I am keeping up to date on this. At the current time there are no new details other than the group holding them claims they are in alive and good health. The local journalist groups says they know more but to reveal that info would be dangerous. As soon as I have more concrete info I will post it.
