Photography Assignment 23 - Orientation

Now that we have learned about the Rule of Thirds and centering, its time to talk about photograph format/orientation. Assignment 23 is "orientation" and is about choosing the right orientation for your photograph. Choosing whether an image is horizontal or vertical can make a huge difference in a photograph. As such, this assignment will be pairs of images. One image horizontal and one image vertical of the same subject. You will then have to post which image you feel is the stronger image of the set.

Lesson on Horizontal vs Vertical Photographs

The forum has recently underwent an update an now has a great new look. As part of the update the column widths changed a little. While images are still allowed to be up to 640 x 480 pixels, most computer monitors will only show 400 pixels wide without scrolling. This is a personal preference but something to keep in mind if you don't want your images to need scrolling.

SPECIAL RULE FOR THIS ASSIGNMENT
Because this assignment is photographic pairs, entries are limited to three (3) pairs this assignment.
