Photography Assignment #21 - Center of Attention

Saturday February 16, 2008
Never let it be said that I do not have a sick and twisted sense of humor. Now that you have learned all about using the rule of thirds its time for you to learn to break the rule. Assignment 21 is "center of attention" and is all about centering your subjects. There are plenty of times when the rule of thirds (and other composition rules) just aren't possible under the circumstances or don't produce the effect you want. This assignment is about learning when to (and not to) center your subject to gain maximum effect for your subject.
