Weekly Assignment #14 - Light(s)

This is a perfect time of year to explore light! This week's assignment is about light and/or lights. Photography is the art of recording light so now is your time to show everyone what you can do with light. From holiday lights to morning sunrises to light conveying mood. Now is the time to explore what light is. Whatever you decide on for your interpretation of the theme, remember that light itself should be the focus of the image.

The deadline for entry in the contest will be Tuesday, December 18th at 10PM Eastern time.

The prize for this contest is having your winning photo posted in this blog Wednesday, December 19th. The winning image and up to 8 finalists will also be posted in a photo gallery on the site where your images can be seen by thousands of people.

Contest Rules

• Photos must be posted in this forum thread (please use the reply button within that thread - do NOT start a new thread)
• Contest photos must be posted no later than Tuesday, December 18th at 10PM Eastern Time (you can post images to the assignment that are not for the contest at any time)
• Photos must be no larger than 640x480 pixels (horizontal or vertical being the longest) at a resolution of 72 pixels per inch
• No more than 3 entries per person per week
• Photos must be YOURS - you must own the copyright to the photos
• READ the terms of service before posting
• NO non-work safe images
• If recognizable people are in the photo you MUST email a model release to me by the entry deadline (photography.guide@about.com)
